Wisteria is a beautiful, delicately scented climber that graces many a wall around the world. During May and June, wisteria comes into its own with an amazing display of wonderful and colourful clusters of flowers. It is native to China, Korea, Japan and the Eastern United States. As many of us know, wisterias climb by twining their stems around any available support. Interestingly, vines of Chinese and American wisteria grow in a counter-clockwise direction while Japanese wisteria vines grow clockwise.
